More Information

Overview Manuals Selection Installation Service Product Applications

Features:

  • Local indication: The front display gives technicians a pressure value at the machine.
  • Compact monitoring: The small housing combines sensing, indication and controller connections at one point.
  • Selectable response: The documented response setting supports different pneumatic sequence requirements.
MPS-R23C-NGA provides local pressure indication and machine-control signals in a compact sensor housing.

The complete marked code records a specific pneumatic and electrical configuration within the MPS-23 family.

The FAQ owns range, polarity, port, cable and output-variant decisions so those responsibilities are not repeated in other modules.

Apter Power can help confirm the MYOUTOKU / CONVUM MPS-R23C-NGA Digital Display Compound Pressure Sensor, port interface and output mapping before quotation.

  • Exact marking: Require the complete MPS-R23C-NGA code on the offered sensor.
  • Process medium: Confirm the gas is compatible with the manufacturer’s stated service.
  • Pressure limit: Keep maximum process pressure below the documented withstand value.
  • Evidence package: Retain the OEM order-code and wiring pages with the quotation.
  • Pressure isolation: Vent the line and verify zero energy before loosening the sensor.
  • Fastener control: Use the documented mounting points without twisting the display housing.
  • Cable protection: Route the fixed lead away from sharp edges and moving parts.
  • Seal inspection: Inspect and replace damaged sealing parts before repressurizing.
  • Housing inspection: Record cracks, contamination and display damage before testing.
  • Leak record: Note the exact mating surface and seal condition when leakage is reported.
  • Cable record: Photograph conductor colors and visible cable damage.
  • Replacement history: Record the full removed and installed model codes.
  • Vacuum generators: Confirms evacuation and release conditions around a CONVUM assembly.
  • Pneumatic handling: Monitors grip vacuum while reporting an analog trend.
  • Leak-test fixtures: Uses separate switch decisions and continuous pressure feedback.
  • Machine diagnostics: Displays local pressure while supplying controller signals for alarms and sequence logic.
Description
The signal combination on MPS-R23C-NGA lets a machine use threshold outputs for sequence decisions while retaining a proportional value for monitoring or trend analysis. Both forms of information come from the same pressure point.

MPS-R23C-NGA is an MPS-23 series digital sensor configured for compound pressure measurement and the CONVUM mounting arrangement. Its identity joins the pressure function and mechanical interface in one complete code.

Because MPS-R23C-NGA covers vacuum and positive pressure around atmospheric reference, one sensor can follow equipment through evacuation and release phases. The local display and controller signals support observation at both the machine and control-system levels.

Technical notes
Depressurize and electrically isolate the circuit before removing MPS-R23C-NGA. Photograph the product label, cable colors, mounting hardware and mating surface, then keep seals with the original installation record. Support the housing during transfer, restore guards and return the pneumatic circuit through the approved machine procedure.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
A sensor marked MPS-V23C-NGA is offered for MPS-R23C-NGA. Can it be used when the process also measures positive pressure?
No. The V code covers vacuum while the R code covers compound pressure from vacuum into positive pressure. Reject the V-code substitute whenever positive-pressure measurement is required.
The control system requires PNP inputs. Can the NPN outputs of MPS-R23C-NGA be changed to PNP in settings?
No. The N code is a hardware order-code choice for NPN outputs; polarity is not software-selectable. Stop and source the manufacturer-listed PNP configuration for the required interface.
The replacement has the same pressure range as MPS-R23C-NGA but a threaded port. Is it mechanically equivalent?
No. The C code identifies the interface for mounting on CONVUM. Hold the substitution until the exact C-port model or a separately documented mechanical redesign is selected.
A spare is supplied with a connector instead of the cable used by MPS-R23C-NGA. Does the electrical code still match?
Not automatically. The G code identifies the documented lead-wire arrangement. Verify the complete cable and conductor scope against the machine drawing before accepting another connection style.
The PLC needs a proportional pressure signal. Is the switch-output-only version equivalent to MPS-R23C-NGA?
No. The A code identifies the 1–5 V analog-output version. If the suffix omits A, do not assume the proportional signal exists even when the display and switch outputs are similar.
At a known pressure, output 1 of MPS-R23C-NGA changes but output 2 does not. What comparison should be recorded?
Record the displayed pressure, both setpoints, both output indicators and both PLC input states at the same test point. Those observations separate channel configuration, field wiring and receiving-input behavior without assuming an internal fault.
