Features:
- Converts 100–240 V AC or 110–250 V DC input into a regulated 12 V DC output.
- Delivers 15 A nominal current with Static Boost, Dynamic Boost, and SFB reserve levels.
- Provides NFC-adjustable characteristics together with configurable digital, analog, and relay signals.
Phoenix Contact QUINT4-PS/1AC/12DC/15-2904608 separates the incoming source from the regulated field-power output through its primary-switched converter.
The normal, static-boost, dynamic-boost, and SFB levels serve different load and protective-device conditions instead of representing one continuous rating.
NFC settings define the operating characteristic while the signal terminals return output and load conditions to the control system.
The Phoenix Contact QUINT4-PS/1AC/12DC/15-2904608 12 V DC 15 A DIN-Rail Power Supply may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Accepted supply sources
- AC range: The primary input accepts 100 to 240 V AC with the documented tolerance.
- DC range: The same converter can operate from a 110 to 250 V DC nominal source.
- Protection: An internal 8 A slow-blow fuse and surge-protection network protect the input stage.
- Buffer time: Stored energy maintains the output for about 55 to 56 ms at nominal mains conditions.
Layered current capability
- Nominal: The continuous nominal output is 12 V DC at 15 A.
- Static reserve: Static Boost raises the documented current level to 17.5 A.
- Dynamic reserve: Dynamic Boost supplies 20 A for as long as five seconds.
- Selective trip: SFB delivers 60 A for 15 ms to operate compatible downstream protection.
Configurable monitoring paths
- NFC setup: Characteristic curves and signal thresholds are assigned through the NFC interface.
- Signal output 1: The first configurable output provides a 24 V DC digital condition signal.
- Signal output 2: The second output can provide a digital signal or a 4–20 mA analog value.
- Relay contact: Terminals 13 and 14 provide a configurable isolated status contact.
DIN-rail installation boundary
- Rail: The metal housing mounts vertically on a 35 mm horizontal DIN rail.
- Clearance: Required horizontal and vertical spaces depend on load and adjacent heat sources.
- Temperature: Full output is documented through 60 °C before temperature derating begins.
- Altitude: Installation above 2000 m requires the specified altitude derating up to 5000 m.
