Features:
- Acquires sixty-four 24 V DC field states through four 16-channel common groups.
- Supports standard status detection and pushbutton edge counting without SOE capture.
- Routes both 50-pin channel banks through AKB337 or compatible MIL cable assemblies.
Yokogawa ADV161-P50 S2 concentrates high-density digital acquisition in one CENTUM VP Field I/O module.
Every input remains individually addressed even though sixteen channels share each common connection.
Field polarity, common grouping and cable assignment must be coordinated before the module is wired.
The Yokogawa ADV161-P50 S2 64-Channel Digital Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Four Common Blocks of Sixteen Inputs
- Group Assignment: Inputs 1–16, 17–32, 33–48 and 49–64 form the four common groups.
- Common Terminals: Each group exposes repeated common terminals beside its sixteen signal pins.
- Polarity Rule: All externally supplied 24 V DC commons must use the same polarity.
ON/OFF State Transfer
- ON State: A field voltage inside the ON range is transferred as an active channel state.
- OFF State: Signals at or below the OFF threshold are reported as inactive.
- Response Interval: The status-input response interval determines when the new state reaches the controller.
Edge Detection without SOE
- Edge Counting: Pushbutton mode counts qualifying input edges rather than capturing SOE timestamps.
- Minimum Pulse: An ON pulse must remain present for the documented minimum detection time.
- Cycle Limit: The input cycle must remain within the maximum pushbutton frequency.
Dual MIL Connector Routing
- Connector Banks: Two 50-pin MIL connectors divide the first and second groups of thirty-two inputs.
- AKB337 Path: AKB337 cables carry channel and common conductors to the external terminal hardware.
- Cable Detection: Disconnected-cable detection uses the designated CBSE circuit on supported terminal boards.
