Features:
- Interface Between the Operator and Industrial Control System
- Combines Capability of High-Performance Processing with Modular Touchscreen Display
- Operates in Conjunction with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and Other Rockwell Automation Controllers
The Allen-Bradley 2711P-RDT10C 1000 touch color display operates as the primary operator interface module in a PanelView Plus 7 system, providing vivid graphical visualization and responsive touch control for all connected automation processes. It continuously renders complex HMI screens through its 10.4-inch TFT color display while processing operator inputs in real-time, distributing visual feedback and control commands through the modular architecture to support steady state operation of the entire human-machine interface. Seamless integration is standard with the 2711P-RDT10C, however using an optional communication module configuration will allow expanded network connectivity and protocol support for diverse industrial environments. The 2711P-RDT10C has made improvements in several areas over previous PanelView display designs in addition to incorporating Windows CE 6.0 operating system capability within the 1000 series platform.
The 2711P-RDT10C provides essential display functions common to the entire PanelView Plus terminal, and is a critical component of the operator interaction path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall visualization system. One 2711P-RDT10C display module is required per terminal, working in conjunction with a separate logic module depending on the desired processing capability. The 2711P-RDT10C occupies the display portion of the modular assembly and is always positioned as the front-facing interface element (the primary operator contact point, the dedicated touchscreen surface).
For Enhanced Application Performance, the 2711P-RDT10C system requires pairing with appropriate logic and communication modules installed in the supporting chassis. In addition to standard single display operation, the modular configuration also performs flexible expansion. The 2711P-RDT10C modular architecture executes upgrades using the interchangeable components specified in the PanelView Plus options. Using this method, the modular display system continually adapts to changing application requirements. If the system detects that additional communication ports or processing power are needed (outside current module specifications), it will automatically accommodate expanded configurations through module replacement and maintain operational continuity with minimal downtime.
The 2711P-RDT10C Allen-Bradley 1000 touch color display may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
