Features:
- Interface Between the Proximitor Sensor and Monitoring System Signal Processing
- Combines Capability of Eddy Current Signal Conversion with High-Precision Gap Measurement Support
- Operates in Conjunction with the 3300 XL Series Probes and Standard Bently Nevada Monitoring Systems
The 330180-10-05 operates as the Universal AC Power Supply in a 3500 rack, providing reliable DC power to all modules within the system. It continuously converts incoming AC power (85-264 VAC, 47-63 Hz) to regulated 24 VDC and distributes this power through the rack backplane to support steady state operation of all monitors and modules. Seamless power transfer is standard with the 330180-10-05, however using an optional Redundant Power Configuration will allow seamless switchover to a backup supply in the event of a primary power failure. The 330180-10-05 has made improvements in several areas over previous power supply designs in addition to incorporating universal input voltage capability within the 3500 rack.
The 330180-10-05 provides essential power functions common to the entire rack, and is a critical component of the monitoring path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall monitor system. One or two 330180-10-05 power supplies are required per rack depending on the desired redundancy level. The 330180-10-05 occupies only a single half-height slot in the rack and is always located in Slot 0 (far left position, the dedicated power supply slots).
For Dual Redundant Power applications, the 3500 System requires a second 330180-10-05 power supply module installed in the redundant slot. In addition to standard single supply operation, the redundant configuration also performs automatic switchover. The 3500 dual power configuration executes failover using the internal circuitry specified in the power supply options. Using this method, the redundant power system continually monitors the health of both supplies. If the system detects that the primary power supply is no longer providing stable output (outside configured voltage/ tolerance levels), it will automatically transfer the load to the secondary supply and place an event in the System Event List.
The 330180-10-05 Bently Nevada Universal AC Power Supply may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
