Features:
- Terminates two coaxial cables on an EX2000 ARCNET data link.
- Connects controller, operator, protection, and Mark V network nodes.
- Transfers two signal channels and board power through the ARCPL interface.
DS200ACNAG1A gives the EX2000 communication hardware a defined coaxial entry and exit point without placing field cabling directly on the controller card.
ARCNET token passing permits only the node holding the token to transmit, while loss of the token triggers network reconfiguration among participating nodes.
Cable length, 93-ohm end termination, and the paired transmit/receive conductors all belong to the link design and must remain consistent across the connected nodes.
The General Electric DS200ACNAG1A ARCNET Connect Board may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Network Topology
- Daisy Chain: ARCNET nodes are connected through a continuous coaxial cable path.
- Token Passing: A node transmits after receiving the network token.
- Reconfiguration: Nodes rebuild the token sequence if token reception is lost.
- End Termination: Both ends of the coaxial chain use 93-ohm termination.
ARCPL Signals
- Channel A: TXA- and TXA+ carry the first differential transmit/receive path.
- Channel B: TXB- and TXB+ form the second differential network path.
- Board Power: P5 and DCOM provide +5 VDC and digital common through ARCPL.
- Selectable Lines: TXA and TXB support the controller's isolated DLAN or RS-422 selection.
Node Integration
- Main Controller: ACNA couples the EX2000 controller to the shared data link.
- Operator Station: IOS traffic reaches the excitation system through ARCNET.
- Protection Module: Protection data uses the same network connection architecture.
- Mark V Interface: The link can extend to a SPEEDTRONIC Mark V turbine-control panel.
Link Boundaries
- Physical Role: ACNA terminates cables but does not replace the ARCNET controller circuitry.
- Controller Pairing: The board connects to SLCC or LDCC through the ARCPL cable.
- Network Rate: The DLAN+ physical layer operates at 2.5 MBaud.
- Cable Limit: The overall ARCNET path is limited by the system cable-length design.
