Features:
- IS230PCAAH1A combines sensing and servo-control interfaces on the core analog platform.
- Dedicated field terminals remain independent of the TCAT-fanned signal group.
- Electronic identification checks connected hardware during initialization.
IS230PCAAH1A can serve applications that do not require a TCAT board for shared inputs.
The module's terminal architecture separates direct PCAA wiring from redundant fan-out wiring.
Controller communication and field termination remain on opposite sides of the same core module.
The General Electric IS230PCAAH1A Core Analog I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

PCAA Terminal Signals
- Thermocouples: Twenty-five temperature channels land on the core analog module.
- Current inputs: Ten terminals are assigned to dedicated 4–20 mA loops.
- Selectable inputs: Two channels switch between 4–20 mA and ±10 V operation.
- Analog outputs: Two circuits deliver 4–20 mA command signals.
LVDT and Servo Paths
- LVDT excitation: Six outputs energize connected position transformers.
- Servo drivers: Six output groups connect to servo coils.
- Auxiliary source: A ±12 V output is available for the defined field circuit.
- Pulse channels: Dedicated pulse inputs share the PCAA field-terminal structure.
PCAA and TCAT Division
- Dedicated wiring: Signals used by one module terminate directly on PCAA.
- Fanned wiring: TCAT distributes selected inputs across redundant PCAA modules.
- TCAT links: Two 68-pin cable connectors occupy P1 and P2.
- Optional boundary: TCAT can be omitted when fanned inputs are not required.
Startup and Interface Checks
- Memory test: Power-up routines verify RAM and flash memory.
- Network test: Both Ethernet interfaces are checked before I/O operation.
- Supply test: The internal power condition is included in diagnostics.
- ID validation: Electronic identification devices confirm the connected hardware.
