Features:
- IC600PM542 accepts a 20–32 VDC industrial source.
- Three regulated rails power high-current I/O loads.
- PSOK signaling supports rack initialization and fault reporting.
The supply serves high-capacity Series Six I/O racks and remote I/O applications that include modem equipment.
Its POWER indicator monitors the +5, +12, and -12 VDC rails, while the input stage guards against reversed polarity.
A covered source terminal block, 8 A slow-blow fuse, and quarter-turn mounting hardware support field replacement.
Apter Power supports quotation requests for the General Electric IC600PM542 24 VDC High-Capacity I/O Rack Power Supply and can provide relevant manufacturer manuals or product documentation.

Preparing the 20–32 VDC source
- Range: Use a source between 20 and 32 VDC.
- Polarity: Verify positive and negative conductors before energizing.
- Fuse: Reversed polarity can open the internal 8 A slow-blow fuse.
- Terminal safety: Refit the lower plastic cover after wiring.
Powering high-capacity I/O configurations
- Rails: IC600PM542 supplies regulated +5, +12, and -12 VDC.
- Capacity: Use the module only for high-capacity I/O rack loads.
- Remote I/O: The output set supports remote-with-modem installations.
- Load check: Total the current units for every installed I/O module.
Replacing the I/O rack power supply
- Shutdown: Stop the CPU and remove all system power.
- Position: Locate the supply at the far right of the I/O rack.
- Connections: Record input and internal wire positions before removal.
- Restart: Lock both thumbscrews, restore power, and confirm the POWER light.
Interpreting power-supply status
- POWER on: All three regulated output rails are within tolerance.
- POWER off: At least one regulated output is too low.
- PSOK: The rack receives initialization and power-fail status.
- Fault path: Recheck polarity, fuse, rack load, and internal connections.
