Features:
- Eight differential current-input pairs
- Module-wide hardware selection for 4–20 mA or 0–20 mA
- One analog data word returned for each channel
The
General Electric IC200ALG262 catalog number denotes the eight-channel differential-current member of the VersaMax analog input range.
Paired conductors allow the module to reject voltage common to both input leads while reporting the measured loop current to the CPU or NIU.
The selected jumper state, controller scaling and transmitter supply must describe the same installation. Differential measurement does not provide channel-to-channel isolation, so the grounding plan still covers the complete input group.
The General Electric IC200ALG262 Current Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Carrier Link and Data Scaling
- Open link: Leaving A18 and A17 unconnected selects the 4–20 mA live-zero range for all eight channels.
- Closed link: Joining A18 to A17 selects 0–20 mA operation across the complete input group.
- Range scope: The jumper changes the module as a whole and does not assign different spans to individual channels.
- Controller conversion: Raw-count scaling follows the chosen range, including the manual's separate formulas for 4–20 mA and 0–20 mA.
Differential Reference Control
- Common-mode window: Both conductors of every source remain within –10 to +10 V relative to module common.
- Interference rejection: The differential inputs reject voltage shared by the two leads instead of treating it as loop current.
- Group relationship: All eight channels belong to one input group and have no channel-to-channel isolation.
- Shield termination: The cable shield connects by the method specified for the selected VersaMax carrier.
Power, Status and Host Exchange
- Data map: The VersaMax CPU or NIU receives one analog input word for each of the eight physical channels.
- Module power: Conversion electronics draw their operating supply from the VersaMax backplane.
- Transmitter power: Connected field devices require a separate external source because the module does not energize their loops.
- OK indication: The green OK LED requires backplane power, internal field power, valid configuration and host recognition.
- Open-wire scope: Broken-loop reporting is available in the 4–20 mA range but not when zero current is a valid 0–20 mA reading.
Eight-Loop Differential Acquisition
- Paired loop sources: Eight current transmitters can be measured through dedicated differential conductor pairs.
- Live-zero supervision: The default 4–20 mA selection lets application logic distinguish a broken loop from a normal low measurement.
- Distributed station: Placement through a VersaMax NIU keeps the input pairs near field wiring and delivers eight ordered data words to the controller.
