Features:
- Two galvanically separated analog output channels
- 0/4-20 mA operation with a -20 to +20 mA option
- Source or sink wiring, with up to 1000 m cable runs when loop limits permit
F6706 combines two precision current commands in a four-TE HIQuad module while preventing one field loop from using the other channel as an unintended return path.
Source and sink connections are both supported; an external 10-30 V DC supply is introduced when the receiving circuit requires sink operation.
Long-distance wiring is possible only after the total burden and voltage reserve are calculated for the selected current range.
HIMA F6706 two-channel isolated analog output module can be sourced through Apter Power, with official HIMA technical references available to confirm wiring and loop limits.

F6706 output ranges and load
- Normal signal: Each channel operates as a 0/4-20 mA analog output
- Bipolar option: An approved project may configure the output from -20 to +20 mA
- Independent channels: Electrical separation prevents a common internal field-loop reference
- Receiving burden: Output accuracy depends on the connected load remaining within the available voltage
F6706 isolation boundaries
- Channel barrier: The first analog path is galvanically isolated from the second
- External references: Cabinet wiring must not defeat the separation by joining returns unintentionally
- Fault location: A disturbance can be traced to one loop without treating both outputs as a single circuit
- Commissioning test: Current and polarity are checked independently at each receiving device
F6706 source and sink wiring
- Source circuit: The module provides loop current through the designated terminal arrangement
- Sink circuit: A 10-30 V DC external source supplies the field loop
- Long cable: Runs up to 1000 m require a complete resistance and burden calculation
- Front connection: Both outputs are routed through the correct HIMA plug and assigned rack position
F6706 conversion accuracy
- Reference error: The specified basic error is no more than 0.1% at an ambient temperature of 25 °C.
- Operating error: Across the 0 to +60 °C operating range, the stated conversion error is no more than 0.4%.
- Digital resolution: The two analog output channels use 12-bit conversion resolution.
- Loop constraint: Conversion accuracy applies only when the receiving burden and line resistance remain within the permitted loop limits.
