Features:
- Sixteen current channels accept HART-capable 4 to 20 mA signals alongside additional current ranges.
- Sixteen digital inputs and sixteen sourcing outputs can be parameterized for mixed signal duties.
- Eight input channels can perform counting or frequency measurement up to 5 kHz.
The 6DL1133-6EW00-0EH1 occupies one ET 200SP HA station position and presents its configured process values to the controller through the backplane bus.
Analog and digital modes share the same hardware, but their address areas and channel behavior change with the selected operating configuration.
Channel diagnostics and substitute-value handling let the controller distinguish wiring faults from valid process changes.
The Siemens 6DL1133-6EW00-0EH1 ET 200SP HA Configurable I/O Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Mode Allocation
- Analog path: Current channels convert field signals and can expose HART variables.
- Digital path: The same module provides parameterizable digital input and sourcing output functions.
- Mixed operation: The controller address area expands when analog, digital, and HART data are combined.
- Online changes: Reparameterization in RUN can change supported settings without removing the module.
Current Measurement Structure
- Input ranges: Each channel can be assigned an approved current range rather than sharing one fixed range.
- Two-wire devices: The encoder supply can power supported two-wire current transmitters.
- Signal conditioning: Integration time and smoothing are selected channel by channel before reporting the measured value.
- Secondary variables: HART mode adds process variables to the module data exchanged with the controller.
Digital Channel Relationships
- Counter pairing: Counter channels 0 to 7 use inputs 8 to 15 as hardware gates.
- Input timing: Configurable input delay separates short disturbances from intended state changes.
- Output loading: Each sourcing output switches its assigned load while the module total remains within the documented current limit.
- Redundant control: Two outputs may drive one load redundantly, but they are not paralleled to increase current.
Fault Visibility and Redundancy
- Channel faults: Wire-break, short-circuit, overflow, and underflow conditions are reported per supported channel.
- Module indicators: PWR and DIAG LEDs distinguish supply condition from module diagnostic state.
- Backplane isolation: Channel circuits are isolated from the backplane bus but not from one another.
- Redundant station: An M1 terminal block provides the mechanical and electrical arrangement for module redundancy.
