Features:
- Optical PROFIBUS DP master communication for an S7-400 central rack
- Two duplex 660 nm fiber-optic interfaces for the fieldbus path
- Configuration storage in the CPU for de-energized module exchange
Siemens
6ES7467-5FJ00-0AB0 connects an S7-400 central rack to distributed PROFIBUS DP stations through an optical bus.
The module maps cyclic input and output data between the CPU and as many as 96 DP slaves while maintaining S7 communication and a diagnostic connection.
Its mode selector and status LEDs separate operating state, bus activity and fault information for commissioning and troubleshooting.
The Siemens 6ES7467-5FJ00-0AB0 IM 467 FO PROFIBUS DP Master Interface may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Fiber-Optic Bus
- Port arrangement: Two duplex sockets form the optical PROFIBUS path.
- Optical carrier: The interfaces operate at a 660 nm wavelength.
- Rate selection: 6ES7467-5FJ00-0AB0 accepts documented rates from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s.
- Excluded settings: Projects using 3 Mbit/s or 6 Mbit/s must be changed before communication can start.
Cyclic DP Data
- Slave capacity: The DP master manages up to 96 connected slaves.
- Address space: Input and output data each use up to 4 KB in the controller map.
- Per-slave transfer: A station can exchange up to 244 bytes in each direction.
- Consistency limit: Consistent data blocks extend to 128 bytes.
Operating-State Checks
- Mode selector: RUN, STOP and transition states determine whether cyclic DP traffic is supplied.
- LED groups: Front indicators separate module condition, bus activity and communication faults.
- STOP behavior: 6ES7467-5FJ00-0AB0 removes cyclic data from the DP slaves and clears its S7 connections.
- Diagnostic access: One connection remains assigned to module diagnostics.
Central-Rack Rules
- Rack position: 6ES7467-5FJ00-0AB0 installs in the S7-400 central rack and draws power from the backplane.
- Module count: A central rack accepts no more than four IM 467 modules.
- Combination rule: CP 443-5 cannot operate in the same central rack with this interface.
- Replacement data: The CPU retains the configuration used by a replacement module after power is removed.
