Features:
- Interface Between Field 4-20 mA Transmitters and CENTUM VP Control System
- Integrates 8-Channel Analog Input Capability with Complete Channel Isolation
- Functions Seamlessly Within YOKOGAWA FIO and N-IO Series I/O Subsystems
The YOKOGAWA AAI135-H00 S1 operates as an Analog Input Module in a CENTUM VP rack, providing reliable signal acquisition for all process monitoring applications within the system. It continuously accepts incoming 4 to 20 mA current signals from field transmitters and converts these analog inputs to digital data for distribution through the rack backplane to support steady state operation of all controllers and modules. Signal integrity is standard with the AAI135-H00 S1, and its isolated channel architecture effectively eliminates ground loop interference and cross-channel crosstalk in the event of varying field potentials or electrical noise. The AAI135-H00 S1 has made improvements in several areas over previous analog input designs in addition to incorporating comprehensive channel isolation capability within the CENTUM VP rack.
The AAI135-H00 S1 provides essential analog input functions common to the entire I/O subsystem, and is a critical component of the measurement path, directly affecting the proper, normal operation of the overall control system. One or multiple AAI135-H00 S1 modules are deployed per rack depending on the required channel density. The AAI135-H00 S1 occupies a standard I/O slot in the rack and integrates with the AKB331 cable connector for field wiring termination.
For high-density analog input applications, the CENTUM VP System accommodates multiple AAI135-H00 S1 modules installed across available I/O slots. In addition to standard single-module operation, the modular configuration also performs distributed signal acquisition. The CENTUM VP I/O architecture executes data collection using the internal circuitry specified in the AAI135-H00 S1 module options. Using this method, the control system continually monitors the health of all eight channels. If the system detects that any input channel is no longer providing stable readings (outside configured range or tolerance levels), it will automatically flag the condition and place an event in the System Event List.
The AAI135-H00 S1 YOKOGAWA Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
