Features:
- S200-TBNF S200TBNF provides eight 5x20mm fuses protecting upper row output channels from overcurrent faults.
- Two rows of 10 screw terminals support 24V DC and 230V AC with 10A current and 264V rating.
- CSA certified with wide operating temperature 0-55°C and storage from -40°C to +85°C.
The S200-TBNF S200TBNF distinguishes itself from standard terminal bases by incorporating eight 5x20mm fuse holders directly on the board, connected in series with the eight channels on the upper terminal row. Each fuse protects an individual output signal path from overcurrent conditions such as short circuits or excessive load currents. When a fault occurs, only the affected channel's fuse opens, leaving other channels operational and simplifying troubleshooting. The fuses are field-replaceable without removing the terminal base or I/O unit, minimizing downtime.
The S200-TBNF S200TBNF supports both 24V DC and 230V AC field connections, offering exceptional flexibility for mixed-voltage I/O systems. The screw terminals are well insulated to handle higher voltages safely, with a maximum rating of 264V AC (rms) and 10A current capacity. This allows the same terminal base to interface with low-voltage DC sensors and actuators as well as high-voltage AC devices such as contactors, motor starters, and pilot lights.
The S200-TBNF S200TBNF measures just 97mm wide × 94mm high × 48mm deep (72mm with an I/O unit inserted), making it suitable for high-density control cabinets where space is at a premium. Despite its compact size, it accepts solid or stranded copper wire from 0.5 to 2.5 mm² (AWG 20-12), providing secure connections for a wide range of field wiring gauges.
The S200-TBNF S200TBNF ABB I/O Unit may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond
End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Hazardous & High-Risk Infrastructure: Deployed extensively in petrochemical, oil and gas, and chemical processing plants where field instrumentation wiring is susceptible to faults or overcurrent.
- Critical Load Isolation: Used to connect high-risk field actuators, heavy-duty solenoids, and field switches, ensuring that an electrical fault on a single device is contained locally.
- Distributed Industrial Automation: Complements ABB’s legacy control architectures (SattLine, SattCon 200, AC250) in environments that mandate strict physical fusing between the control room and field wiring.
- Module Compatibility: Fully compatible with standard ABB S200 and S200C digital input/output modules (such as 24V DC or 120V AC digital units). Electronic modules slide on top and mate directly via its integrated plug-in interface.
- Interlocking DIN-Rail Backplane: Snapping the S200-TBNF next to other S200 series bases (like the TB2 or TB3) instantly bridges the internal serial communication and power distribution buses, eliminating complex backplane wiring harness configurations.
- Network Interoperability: Relies on standard S200 network adapters to seamlessly bridge field signals to enterprise automation networks including PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet, or ControlNet.
- Global Electrical Safety: Certified under UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) for industrial control equipment, validating its electrical fire prevention and flame-retardant casing.
- European Market Compliance: Carries the CE mark, meeting both the Low Voltage Directive and the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive.
- Marine & Heavy Industrial Compliance: Certified by major marine classification societies (such as DNV, GL, or Lloyd's Register depending on system assembly), making it robust enough to handle the thermal cycles, continuous vibrations, and shocks found on offshore platforms and maritime vessels.
