Features:
- Sixteen positive-logic sourcing outputs arranged as two groups of eight
- 0.5 A per point and 2 A per common for 12/24 VDC field loads
- 2 ms maximum switching response with point-status LEDs
IC693MDL740 supplies positive DC power to connected loads rather than sinking their return current.
Separate group commons allow two eight-point banks to be wired and protected as independent load circuits.
No internal fuse is fitted, so external protection and the ambient-current derating curve remain part of the panel design.
The General Electric IC693MDL740 Series 90-30 positive-logic DC output module may remain available for quotation and installed-system support from Apter Power.

Positive-logic output circuit
- Field range: The two output banks operate from a 12 to 24 VDC source with +20% / -15% tolerance.
- Point current: Each output carries up to 0.5 A steady current.
- Group current: Current through either eight-point common is limited to 2 A.
- Inrush: A point tolerates a 4.78 A surge for 10 ms.
Electrical behavior
- Group isolation: The two output groups withstand 500 V between their field circuits.
- Logic isolation: Field wiring is isolated from backplane logic to 1,500 V.
- Voltage drop: The on-state output drop is 1 V maximum.
- Switching time: Turn-on and turn-off response are each 2 ms maximum.
Baseplate and field integration
- Slot use: The module fits an I/O position in a five- or ten-slot Series 90-30 baseplate.
- Backplane load: The 5 VDC current is 110 mA when all sixteen outputs are on.
- External protection: The field circuit requires user-supplied fusing or other suitable protection.
- Wiring check: Both common terminals, field polarity, and load return paths must be traced before energizing the bank.
Supported load uses
- Motor starters: Sourcing outputs can energize compatible DC starter and interposing-relay coils.
- Solenoids: Valve and actuator solenoids can be switched within the point and inrush ratings.
- Indicators: Panel lamps and status devices can be grouped across the two field commons.
- Machine sequencing: The 2 ms response suits discrete output stations in packaging, assembly, and material-handling equipment.
