Features:
- Provides 128 Kbytes of CMOS expansion memory for the documented Series 90-70 base modules.
- Expands logic and data storage without occupying an additional rack slot.
- Supports program and data configuration with automatic memory checking by the serving CPU or PCM.
The current ordering configuration is IC697MEM715, the 128 Kbyte CMOS expansion-memory daughter board for General Electric Series 90-70 CPU 771, CPU 772 and PCM hardware.
It supplements the logic and data memory available on the serving base board while remaining in the same rack slot. The installed CPU or PCM supplies battery-backed retention and performs the documented memory checks.
Before commissioning, confirm the exact base-module code, remove rack power, seat the 64-pin connector and follow the CPU or PCM software procedure. Do not substitute another memory capacity without reviewing the stored program and data requirement.
Availability is subject to Apter Power inventory and sourcing confirmation.

- Expands logic and data capacity in compatible CPU 771 or CPU 772 control applications that require the 128 Kbyte option.
- Adds program and data storage to the IC697PCM711 programmable coprocessor without consuming a separate rack position.
- Supports maintenance of installed Series 90-70 systems when the existing base module and required memory capacity are retained.
- Connects to IC697CPU771 and IC697CPU772 as the documented 128 Kbyte CMOS expansion-memory option.
- Supports the IC697PCM711 programmable coprocessor when installed according to the PCM support-software instructions.
- Depends on the battery located on the serving CPU or PCM for memory retention during loss of applied power.
- Can be allocated for both program storage and data storage within the supported Series 90-70 application.
- Requires CPU memory to be cleared with the applicable programming software after installation on a CPU module.
- Uses background CPU checksum checking, while the PCM checks storage at power cycles and hard or soft resets.
- Remove rack power before inserting the daughter board or handling the serving CPU or programmable coprocessor.
- Mate the 64-pin connector with the base-board connector, engage the retaining snaps and return the module to the rack.
- Install the replacement IC697ACC701 battery before disconnecting the existing battery to preserve retained user memory.
