Features:
- Adapts two EAUX 41DC circuits for low-voltage high-speed contactors.
- Uses brief voltage forcing to shorten contactor pickup time.
- Regulates holding current through closed-loop pulse-width modulation.
The daughterboard changes the EAUX output behavior only for installations fitted with the specified low-voltage contactor coils.
Pickup and hold are separate electrical stages: a short high-voltage interval moves the armature, then PWM limits continuous coil current.
During release, the flyback route changes so stored coil energy is directed through the EAUX discharge path instead of maintaining current.
Identify the EAUX host and contactor-coil class before applying General Electric IS200EAUDH1A to either 41DC driver channel.

Important Notice: Distinguish low-voltage high-speed coils from standard 125 V dc contactors before applying EAUD driver information.
How EAUD changes the EAUX output
- Host Board: The daughterboard mounts directly on an EAUX board.
- Circuit Count: Two 41DC contactor-driver channels are supported.
- Coil Class: The interface is intended for 30-32 V dc low-voltage coils.
- Standard Mode: Systems using 125 V dc contactors or breakers do not require EAUD.
The first stage of contactor operation
- Initial Voltage: The full 125 V dc source is applied at pickup.
- Forcing Time: The boosted interval lasts for the first 150 ms.
- Mechanical Effect: Higher initial voltage accelerates contactor armature movement.
- Mode Transfer: The circuit changes from forcing to regulated hold after pickup.
Closed-loop holding behavior
- PWM Rate: The hold stage switches at 1.5 kHz.
- Current Target: Closed-loop control regulates coil current to 1.5 A.
- Feedback: Measured coil current sets the PWM duty cycle.
- Off Cycle: A low-impedance flyback path carries current between switching pulses.
Removing stored coil energy
- Stop Command: The flyback path is disabled when the driver turns off.
- Energy Release: Coil energy then flows through the EAUX discharge resistor.
- Rapid Opening: The discharge arrangement supports fast contactor dropout.
- Board Coordination: EAUD and EAUX act together during both drive and release states.
