Features:
- Enables up to five engineers to concurrently access the AADvance Workbench via a central network license server
- The T9084U license removes all controller restrictions, allowing configuration of an unlimited number of AADvance safety controllers
- Unlocks all five IEC 61131-3 programming languages in AADvance Workbench for developing SIL 2 / SIL 3 safety logic
The T9084U functions as a Network User License, delivered on a USB dongle that must be inserted into a central license server . This server then allows up to five concurrent users on the same network to run fully licensed copies of the AADvance Workbench. This concurrent licensing model is highly efficient for engineering teams, as it does not require purchasing a dedicated license for every single engineer.
The T9084U license is the only option in the AADvance portfolio that features no limit on the number of controllers that can be programmed . This "unlimited" capacity is a critical differentiator for large-scale facilities. While entry-level licenses restrict the engineer to a single controller (T9082), the T9084U permits configuration of a safety system that may be distributed across dozens of processor chassis spread throughout an entire plant or process unit.
When the T9084U license is active on the network, all engineering workstations connected to it unlock the full feature set of the AADvance Workbench, including complete support for all five IEC 61131-3 programming languages: Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), Instruction List (IL), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC) . This versatility allows different engineers on the same team to use the most appropriate language for their specific task. A specialist might use FBD for cause-and-effect logic in a fire and gas system, while another uses LD for discrete interlock logic on a burner.
The T9084U ICS TRIPLEX License may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

- Plant-Wide Central Emergency Shutdown (Central ESD): Implemented across multi-billion-dollar oil and gas refineries or major petrochemical hubs where distinct processing loops are governed by separate physical AADvance racks that must orchestrate a unified plant-wide trip response.
- Mega-Scale Fire and Gas (F&G) Networks: Deployed at LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) terminals or offshore processing platforms where up to five safety engineers must simultaneously map, test, and audit tens of thousands of safety field loops across discrete local control areas.
- Integrated Utilities & Co-Generation Matrices: Deployed in combined-cycle power facilities to simultaneously link and code multiple Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) across gas turbines, steam turbines, and Burner Management Systems (BMS).
- Expanded Buffer Capacities: In a multi-controller topology, distinct cabinets exchange interlock telemetry via the KVB buffer (which is expanded to 128 K in recent system updates to accommodate larger data arrays).
- SNCP Error Isolation: Cross-cabinet peer-to-peer data loops run over IONet via the Secure Network Control Protocol (SNCP). The software automatically applies cyclical redundancy checks (CRC) and microsecond-precision time-stamping to every packet.
- Timing Diagnostics: Continually tracks controller execution cycles (Scan Time) and CPU allocation across all interconnected systems to prevent network synchronization overloads.
- License Server Setup: Insert the physical T9084U USB dongle into a rear USB port of the primary Master Engineering Workstation (Master EWS) or a localized central license server within the control room. Ensure it remains fixed to mitigate loss risks.
- Client Configuration: Install the AADvance Workbench software on up to four additional client engineering PCs within the same local area network (LAN). Launch the license manager utility on these client machines and route the validation path directly to the static IP address of the Master EWS.
- OS Support & Virtualization: Legacy T9084U 1.x platforms natively support Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit). To securely host and preserve this platform on modern Windows 10/11 operating systems, it is highly recommended to encapsulate the installation within a dedicated VMware Workstation virtual machine.
