Features:
- Interface Between the Field Analog Signals and Trusted TMR Control System
- Combines Capability of Analog Signal Conversion with Triple Modular Redundancy
- Operates in Conjunction with the Trusted Series and Standard TMR Controllers
The ICS Triplex T9432 operates as the Analog Input Module in a Trusted rack, providing reliable 16-channel analog signal acquisition for all control modules within the system. It continuously converts incoming field analog signals (4-20 mA, 0-10 V, or other standard ranges) to digital data and transmits this information through the rack backplane to support real-time monitoring and control of all connected field devices. Seamless signal acquisition is standard with the ICS Triplex T9432, however using the Trusted TMR Architecture will allow seamless fault tolerance through triple modular redundancy in the event of a single channel or module failure. The ICS Triplex T9432 has made improvements in several areas over previous analog input designs in addition to incorporating high-density 16-channel capability within the Trusted rack.
The ICS Triplex T9432 provides essential input functions common to the entire control system, and is a critical component of the control path, directly affecting the proper, safe operation of the overall Trusted TMR system. One or more ICS Triplex T9432 modules are required per rack depending on the desired I/O capacity and redundancy level. The ICS Triplex T9432 occupies a single full-height slot in the rack and can be located in any available I/O slot position.
For Triple Modular Redundancy applications, the Trusted System requires three ICS Triplex T9432 modules or complementary I/O modules configured in a TMR arrangement. In addition to standard single module operation, the TMR configuration also performs automatic voting and fault detection. The Trusted TMR configuration executes signal validation using the internal voting circuitry specified in the Trusted architecture. Using this method, the redundant input system continually monitors the health of all three channels. If the system detects that one ICS Triplex T9432 channel is no longer providing accurate data (outside configured tolerance levels or diagnostic thresholds), it will automatically exclude the faulty channel from the voting process and place an event in the System Event List.
The T9432 ICS Triplex Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
