More Information

Overview Manuals Exact-Part Selection HART Device Access Power Architecture Application
  • Use RH927AH as the exact current module identity
  • Match the RH924JH TA and HART device database
  • Verify loop-power and external-supply design before energizing

RH927AH is ordered when the supported installation specifically requires the current FBM214B hardware.

Compatibility checks must include the baseplate, controller software, Field Device Expert path and existing HART device configuration.

The module and its RH924JH TA are separate service items, so a module-only quotation must not imply new field terminals.

Availability, condition, price, and shipping time for RH927AH are confirmed during quotation.

  • Order RH927AH only after matching the installed label
  • Confirm the supported Foxboro software and baseplate
  • Keep RH924JH as a separate TA line item
  • Verify device descriptions and tag assignments
  • Check analog measurement before digital messaging
  • Use supported commands and avoid burst mode
  • Choose isolated internal or engineered external loop power
  • Add the cable balun where a shared supply requires it
  • Inspect loop resistance, returns and shielding before startup
  • Current FBM214B HART input installations
  • Smart-transmitter replacement and diagnostics
  • Eight-loop isolated analog acquisition
Description
Foxboro RH927AH hosts eight HART field devices while measuring their 4–20 mA process currents.

A dedicated FSK modem on each isolated channel carries device commands and diagnostics without combining the individual loop circuits.

The module can power each loop internally or use an engineered external supply arrangement, enabling mixed transmitter installations.

Technical notes
RH927AH is the current part number for the standard FBM214B eight-channel HART analog input module; RH924JH is its separate compression termination assembly. Before replacement, verify the baseplate, termination assembly, field wiring and controller configuration.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Can Foxboro RH927AH replace any older HART input module?
No universal swap should be assumed; compare the old module function, baseplate, software, TA, loop-power architecture and database before conversion.
Is the RH924JH field terminal included with Foxboro RH927AH?
Do not assume inclusion. RH924JH and its Type 1 cable are separate items unless explicitly listed in the quoted stock.
Can Foxboro RH927AH use eight different HART device types?
Yes when each device and command set is supported by the installed Foxboro engineering software and the channel database is configured correctly.
Why can Foxboro RH927AH lose HART communication after a transmitter change?
Confirm the new device is HART-capable, loop resistance and polarity are correct, the tag and device description match and the loop is not configured for unsupported burst mode.
What must be checked when Foxboro RH927AH uses a shared external supply?
Evaluate the documented cable-balun requirement, common returns, loop resistance, grounding and channel isolation for all affected loops.
What should be recorded before removing Foxboro RH927AH?
Record the label, slot, RH924JH terminals, Type 1 cable, loop supplies, device tags, ranges, alarms and HART diagnostic state.
How is Foxboro RH927AH validated after installation?
Read every analog loop, identify every HART device, execute permitted commands, inspect channel diagnostics and prove normal control operation.
