Features:
- PROFINET Class A device interface
- Configurable Modbus Master or Slave serial port
- Remote configuration and network diagnostics
A single serial network is connected to a PROFINET controller through the PLX31-PND-MBS. Its PROFINET interface operates as a device, while the serial channel exchanges Modbus RTU or ASCII data.
Depending on the application, the Modbus port may be assigned as Master or Slave and configured for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 wiring. The internal database provides up to 10,000 16-bit registers for protocol data transfer.
Use the one-port ordering code when only one Modbus segment is required. Device naming, serial timing, register allocation, DIN-rail power, and any optional SD-card backup should be settled before startup.
Application review for the ProSoft PLX31-PND-MBS PROFINET Device to Modbus Serial Gateway can be requested from Apter Power with pricing and official documents.
