Features:
- Six field-current channels terminate on removable connectors.
- Two protected power feeds supply the MTA, modules, and field transmitters.
- Dual module connectors and pluggable diode boards preserve the redundant signal path.
Siemens 6ES7650-1AH61-5XX0 sits between six HART transmitters and the ET 200M fail-safe analog input module.
Its separate field, power, shield, and module connections keep loop wiring distinct from the redundant module path.
Channel and power LEDs expose loss of a feed or an opened fuse before the signal reaches the input module.
The 6ES7650-1AH61-5XX0 article uses the FAIH wiring and fuse arrangement shown in its dedicated manual section; adjacent MTA order numbers use different channel hardware.

Redundant Power Distribution
- Power feeds: Two removable feeds accept single or redundant 24 V DC supply.
- ORing: The diode path supplies the assembly from either available feed.
- Module fuses: Separate 0.5 A fuses protect the two I/O module connectors.
- Channel feeds: Each transmitter branch is fused and indicated independently.
Field Channel Connections
- Per channel: Sensor power, signal positive, signal negative, and shield terminals are provided.
- Transmitter count: One transmitter is connected to each channel.
- Wire range: Field and power terminals accept the documented 24 to 14 AWG range.
- Shield: Channel shields terminate at the assembly and can be bonded through the ground stud.
Dual-Module Signal Path
- Connectors: J1 and J2 serve the two redundant analog input modules.
- Diode boards: Two pluggable zener boards maintain the remaining signal path during module removal.
- Nonredundant use: A single module uses the documented J2 connection arrangement.
- Maintenance: Board and fuse status must be checked before removing one redundant module.
HART and Loop Limits
- Handheld access: A HART handheld terminal can be connected for each channel.
- Sensor feed: The assembly supplies a current-limited field-power path.
- Loop voltage: Two-wire loops must retain the required voltage at the transmitter and barrier.
- Four-wire option: The documented optional fuse applies only to the specified four-wire arrangement.
