Features:
- Optical single-turn measurement and a multiturn stage form one absolute shaft-position value.
- An optically isolated DeviceNet slave interface exchanges polled position and explicit configuration messages.
- DIP-switch addressing, selectable baud rate, and bus termination organize the encoder within a CAN segment.
TR Electronic CE65M110-00443 combines the angular position inside one revolution with the stored count of completed revolutions.
The DeviceNet path of CE65M110-00443 separates cyclic position transfer from the explicit messages used for parameters and diagnostics.
Network setup on CE65M110-00443 links its unique MAC-ID, selected baud rate, cable length, and end-of-segment termination.
The TR Electronic CE65M110-00443 CE-65 M DeviceNet Absolute Multiturn Encoder may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Angle and Revolution Data Relationship
- Single-turn part: The optical code disc divides each shaft revolution into the configured number of position steps.
- Multiturn part: The gear stage records completed revolutions so the position does not reset after one turn.
- Combined value: The electronics combine angle and revolution count into the total absolute position returned to the controller.
- Resolution limit: The selected steps per revolution and revolution range must remain within the documented total-resolution boundary.
Bus Communication Path
- Polled input: A master polls the encoder and receives the current absolute position through the I/O connection.
- Explicit channel: Read and write attributes carry setup, preset, adjustment, and diagnostic information outside the cyclic position field.
- EDS mapping: The matching EDS definition exposes the supported objects, parameters, and operating modes to the network configuration tool.
- Isolation: Optical isolation separates the CAN fieldbus electronics from the encoder measurement path.
Address, Speed and Termination Sequence
- MAC-ID: Six DIP switches assign a unique DeviceNet station address between 0 and 63.
- Baud selection: Two DIP switches select 125, 250, or 500 kBaud for the entire connected segment.
- Cable relation: The permitted trunk length decreases as baud rate rises, so the network layout and speed must be checked together.
- End node: When the encoder is the last slave, the selectable termination resistor closes the CAN segment and disconnects the following bus path.
Position Adjustment and Diagnostic Feedback
- Preset value: Preset 1 or Preset 2 assigns a defined absolute position inside the configured total number of steps.
- Adjustment: The adjustment command writes a new reference relationship while the position value remains the cyclic feedback.
- Auxiliary outputs: Seven programmable auxiliary bits share the upper portion of the returned position data field.
- Status indication: Green and red LED states distinguish online allocation, duplicate-MAC testing, timeout conditions, and recoverable faults.
