Features:
- Switches thirty-two 24/48 VDC loads in four isolated groups.
- Provides 0.5 A point capacity with short 10 A inrush handling.
- Offers 1 ms response and a logic-side indicator for every output.
IC697MDL750 combines high point density with separate field-power banks so four load sections can be organized in one slot.
Its surge capability supports compatible inductive or incandescent loads whose starting current exceeds their steady operating level.
Software-selected default behavior determines whether commanded states are retained or cleared during defined controller conditions.
The General Electric IC697MDL750 Series 90-70 Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Four independently powered banks
- Point Layout: Thirty-two outputs are split into A, B, C, and D groups with eight points apiece.
- Separate Supplies: Each bank has its own common and field-power terminal set.
- Bank Limit: Combined continuous current in one eight-point section cannot exceed 2 A.
- Point Limit: No individual output carries more than 0.5 A in steady operation.
Starting-current capability
- Short Surge: One output can conduct as much as 10 A for a 20 ms interval.
- Repetition Boundary: Permitted surge frequency falls as steady current and load duty cycle rise.
- Typical Devices: Solenoids, motor starters, and indicator loads can use the available transient capacity.
- Thermal Constraint: Group current remains the controlling limit even when individual points are below 0.5 A.
External branch protection
- No Internal Fuses: The module does not place a replaceable fuse in series with each output point.
- User Protection: Required overcurrent protection is installed in the external field wiring.
- Recommended Rating: The documented point-fuse examples use a fast-acting 0.75 A, 250 V device.
- One Fuse per Point: Separate branch protection prevents one field fault from depending on a shared group fuse.
Command visibility and fallback state
- Point LEDs: Thirty-two indicators display the ON or OFF command presented on the PLC side.
- Hold Option: A configured operating fault can leave the last output command unchanged.
- Off Option: The alternative response clears the output points when the specified condition occurs.
- Software Setup: Output references and fallback behavior are assigned without onboard jumpers or DIP switches.
