Features:
- Retains the existing termination cable assembly during a 100 Series FBM upgrade.
- Separates eight monitored inputs from eight overload-protected switched outputs.
- Uses an associated FBM238 or FBM239 for Digital I/O or Ladder Logic execution.
The TAA10 main adapter occupies a defined position in a 100 Series conversion mounting structure.
Field conductors remain on the original TCA while converted discrete states pass to and from the redundant Fieldbus.
Operational, input-channel and output-channel indicators on the cable assembly support commissioning checks.
The Foxboro P0923RK TAA10 Termination Assembly Adapter may still be available for purchase and support from Apter Power beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

From field wiring to Fieldbus
- Field termination: The existing TCA keeps sensor and actuator conductors at the conversion structure.
- Input path: Eight AC states pass through TAA10 monitoring circuits before the associated FBM processes them.
- Output path: Eight FBM commands return through isolated switching channels to the field loads.
- Fieldbus link: Both signal directions share the redundant Fieldbus connection to FBM238 or FBM239.
Overload handling sequence
- Detection: The channel circuitry monitors inrush and steady-state current conditions.
- Open interval: An overload opens the switching path for approximately 64.5 line cycles.
- Retry action: The output automatically attempts operation again after the open interval.
- Protection limit: External fusing is required when a prospective fault can exceed the documented damage threshold.
Main and expansion arrangement
- Expansion position: The main adapter provides one connection for a compatible expansion module.
- Typical partner: TAA15 is the normal expansion used when additional TAA10-style capacity is required.
- Shared operation: The main and expansion assemblies work under the same associated FBM application.
- Channel setup: Input options apply by module, while output behavior is selected by channel.
Upgrade structure checks
- Mounting frame: Install the adapter only in a listed 100 Series conversion mounting structure.
- Cable assembly: Match the retained termination cable assembly to the required terminal-block or plug format.
- Status access: Keep the cable-assembly indicators visible for operational and channel checks.
- Cabinet conditions: Maintain the documented temperature, humidity and contamination limits around the conversion hardware.
