Description
The ABB APBU-44C is a DIN rail-mountable branching and datalogger unit designed for the ACS800 series multidrive systems. It allows multiple inverter or supply modules to be connected in parallel while providing real-time data logging for the module power stages to aid in fault tracing and analysis.

Equipped with redundant 24 V DC inputs, microfuse protection, and a 4-pin detachable screw terminal block, the unit ensures reliable power and connectivity to the modules. The APBU‑44C supports up to four modules, while the APBU‑44CE version can handle up to twelve, making it suitable for larger systems.

Communication between the unit, modules, and the RDCU control unit is handled via an 8 Mbit/s PPCS fibre-optic protocol, ensuring fast and accurate data transfer. Its compact DIN rail design allows flexible mounting both vertically and horizontally
