Features:
- Eight configurable circuits arranged as four isolated two-circuit groups
- 115 VAC or 125 VDC field operation with 2 A output capability per point
- Selectable input filtering from 10 to 100 ms for field-signal conditioning
IC660BBS103 is the non-Failed-Switch-Diagnostic member of the 115 VAC/125 VDC isolated Genius I/O block family, intended for circuits that may use a parallel manual switch.
Its eight circuits can be individually configured as inputs or outputs, while the four isolated pairs help separate field potentials within a single Genius block.
When matching this block, account for the 93-132 VAC or 105-132 VDC control-power range, circuit grouping, terminal assembly, and Genius Hand-held Monitor configuration requirements.
The General Electric IC660BBS103 Isolated I/O Block may remain available for quotation and legacy-system support from Apter Power.

Circuit behavior
- Input or output selection: Each of the eight circuits can be configured for the required field role.
- Manual-switch operation: The block ignores commanded-state and internal-switch differences when an output is paralleled by a manual switch.
- Output loading: Each output is rated for 2 A within the documented group and block limits.
- State retention: Configurable output behavior includes hold-last-state and power-up defaults.
Electrical separation
- Group layout: Four electrically isolated groups each contain two configurable circuits.
- Group isolation: Isolation between groups is rated at 250 VAC or VDC continuously.
- Transient withstand: The documented peak isolation is 2000 V for 10 seconds between circuit groups.
- Field supply: Nominal field operation is 115 VAC or 125 VDC, separate from Genius bus communications.
Reported conditions
- Thermal warning: The block reports an overtemperature condition when its internal limit is exceeded.
- Field wiring: Open-wire detection helps identify interrupted supervised field circuits.
- Load monitoring: Overload and no-load conditions are available as circuit diagnostics.
- Power supervision: Loss of the applicable field or block power is included in the diagnostic reporting.
System matching
- Hand-held monitor: IC660HHM501 supports configuration functions for this block.
- Legacy monitor: IC660HHM500 can be used for basic work, while selected baud-rate and redundancy changes require IC660HHM501.
- Replacement context: The block is identified as the replacement for IC660BBS101 in the manufacturer documentation.
- Installation review: Confirm the terminal assembly, bus baud rate, redundancy settings, and four-group field wiring before energizing the block.
