Features:
- Sixteen two-wire current inputs accept standard and HART-capable transmitters with per-channel parameters.
- Selectable filtering, 15- to 16-bit conversion, NE43 monitoring, and channel diagnostics improve signal integrity.
- HART data records, cyclic variable mapping, and optional module redundancy support process-control maintenance strategies.
The module combines transmitter power and current measurement, so channel wiring and sensor-supply loading are checked together.
HART adds digital device information to the analog loop without replacing the 4-20 mA process-value path.
Redundant operation depends on the matching terminal block and system configuration rather than a duplicate module alone.
The Siemens 6DL1134-6TH00-0PH1 AI 16xI 2-Wire HART HA Analog Input Module is supported with product documentation and selection assistance from Apter Power.

Sixteen Transmitter Channels
- Input ranges: Each channel is assigned to a supported 0-10, 0-20, 4-20, or 4-20 mA HART range.
- Two-wire supply: The module can power compatible two-wire transmitters through the channel sensor-supply terminal.
- Resolution: Conversion uses 15 or 16 bits including sign according to measuring range and filter setting.
- Channel setup: Range, smoothing, interference rejection, diagnostics, and limits are configured per channel.
Digital Transmitter Communication
- Concurrent signal: HART communication is superimposed on the 4-20 mA process-current loop.
- Device variables: Up to four variables from each capable field device are available through HART data records.
- Cyclic mapping: As many as eight selected HART variables can be mapped into the module input area.
- Client discipline: Only one client per channel should manage command and response data records at a time.
Channel and Module Fault Handling
- Loop faults: Configured diagnostics identify wire break, underflow, overflow, and sensor-supply short circuit.
- NE43: Failure monitoring applies the defined transmitter-current limits to the 4-20 mA range.
- HART status: Communication and field-device status are reported separately from the analog process value.
- Indicators: Module and channel LEDs distinguish supply, configuration, maintenance, and input faults.
High-Availability Module Pairing
- Terminal block: Redundant operation requires the matching M1-type redundant terminal block.
- Pair behavior: Two adjacent modules measure independently while the configured system manages master and standby roles.
- HART update: HART variables are updated only through the channel whose HART interface is active.
- Replacement boundary: Exact module type, firmware capability, terminal block, and station configuration must agree.
