More Information

Overview Manuals Specifications Protocol Integration Installation

Features:

  • RS-232 Modbus Serial communication for CompactLogix L1 and 1734 POINT I/O systems
  • Configurable Modbus Master or Slave operation
  • Controller-tag diagnostics and project-backed module configuration
Designed for point-to-point serial links, the ILX34-MBS232 places an RS-232 Modbus interface directly beside a CompactLogix L1 processor or within a distributed 1734 POINT I/O station.

Master and Slave operation are selected in the controller project, where the Add-On Instruction organizes I/O, status, control, and diagnostic tags. The module handles up to 1,000 words and as many as 30 configured Modbus commands.

A supported 1734-TB, 1734-TBS, 1734-TOP, or 1734-TOPS wiring base is required. Cable distance, baud rate, parity, node address, and the selected RTU or ASCII framing should match the connected RS-232 device.
Quotation and documentation support for the ProSoft ILX34-MBS232 Modbus Serial Module for CompactLogix L1 and POINT I/O Adapters is available through Apter Power.
