Features:
- Two independently addressed Ethernet ports
- Modbus TCP/IP client and server operation
- EtherNet/IP Class 1 I/O and Class 3 messaging
PLX32-EIP-MBTCP is the dual-port ordering code intended to place EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP traffic on independently addressed Ethernet interfaces.
Its Modbus driver supports client and server duties, while the EtherNet/IP side exchanges cyclic I/O or explicit messages with supported controllers.
Plan both IP subnets, client command polling, server connections, register allocation, and enclosure power before adding PLX32-EIP-MBTCP to a live network.
The ProSoft PLX32-EIP-MBTCP EtherNet/IP to Modbus TCP/IP Communications Gateway is listed as Active / Available from OEM. Apter Power can review network architecture and quotation requirements.

EtherNet/IP connection services
- Cyclic traffic: Class 1 I/O connections carry scheduled process data between the gateway and an EtherNet/IP controller.
- Explicit traffic: Class 3 messaging supports unscheduled request and response exchanges.
- Controller integration: Connection sizes and RPI values must match the controller project.
- Data routing: Mapped gateway registers provide the exchange area for EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP data.
Client and server resources
- Client capacity: Up to 10 Modbus TCP/IP client connections can issue configured commands.
- Server capacity: Five MBAP and five encapsulated server connections are supported.
- Command list: The client side supports as many as 160 configured commands.
- Polling control: Each command defines its target address, function, register range, and polling behavior.
Dual-subnet design
- Port separation: Two Ethernet ports allow the two protocol networks to use different IP subnets.
- Physical interface: Each port uses a 10/100 Mbit RJ45 Ethernet connection.
- Backup option: An optional SD card can preserve or transfer configuration files.
- Installation envelope: The gateway uses 24 VDC nominal power and operates from -25°C to 70°C.
