Features:
- IS420YDIAS1B processes 24 discrete contact inputs for the Mark VIeS safety architecture.
- Input changes are recorded with 1 ms sequence-of-events resolution.
- Two RJ45 ports, a three-pin power connector, and a DC-37 field connector form the pack interface.
IS420YDIAS1B uses STCI S2A and S4A terminal boards for simplex installations.
TBCI S2C and S3C terminal boards let IS420YDIAS1B support simplex, dual, or TMR arrangements.
All IS420YDIAS1B packs connected to one T-type board must use the same S1 hardware form.
The General Electric IS420YDIAS1B Mark VIeS Discrete Contact Input I/O Pack may be available for purchase and technical support from Apter Power.

Compatible Terminal-Board Options
- STCI S2A/S4A: STCI variants are assigned to single-pack installations.
- TBCI S2C/S3C: TBCI variants permit one-, two-, or three-pack redundancy layouts.
- Field connector: Terminal-board signals enter the pack through its DC-37 interface.
- Form matching: Every pack fitted to one T-type board must use the same S1 hardware form.
Discrete Contact Input Processing
- Input scan: Field contact states enter the safety controller through 24 acquisition paths.
- Event timing: State changes are available with 1 ms sequence-of-events resolution.
- Network transfer: Two RJ45 ports connect the processed input data to IONet.
- Status display: Front indicators show power, attention, network, and channel conditions.
Input and Hardware Diagnostics
- Startup tests: Power-up checks verify pack hardware before normal acquisition.
- Wetting monitor: Loss of field wetting voltage produces a diagnostic.
- Input response: Background tests identify channels that do not respond as expected.
- Board identity: The controller rejects a terminal-board identity that does not match the configured I/O hardware.
Safety Configuration and Environment
- Safety platform: The pack belongs to the IEC 61508 Mark VIeS architecture.
- Control power: Each pack operates from 24/28 V dc and consumes up to 6.8 W.
- Operating range: Normal acquisition is supported across -40 to +70 °C.
- Storage range: Unpowered storage is permitted from -40 to +85 °C.
