More Information

Overview Manuals Signal Routing PT & CT Handling Flame Circuit Configuration Limits

Features:

  • Separates protective terminations from the TCEA processing boards in the P1 core.
  • Conditions generator voltage, bus voltage and line-current signals for the R5 core.
  • Passes emergency-overspeed and flame-detection channels from PTBA to the three TCEA boards.
DS200TCEBG1B occupies location two of the P1 protective core, between field terminations and the processing boards.

Its PT and CT path reduces incoming measurement levels before forwarding them to TCCB for generator and bus functions.

The board also carries conditioned flame-detector power and contains the Mark V LM alarm horn.

The Mark V platform is no longer produced by GE; Apter Power may still support DS200TCEBG1B sourcing.

Protective Paths

  • PTBA Input: JU receives overspeed-pickup and flame-detection signals from the terminal board.
  • TCEA Outputs: JKX, JKY and JKZ feed the X, Y and Z protective processors.
  • Measurement Input: JV brings PT and CT signals into the board.
  • R5 Transfer: JMP carries scaled electrical measurements to TCCB.

Electrical Measurement Flow

  • Voltage Sources: Generator and bus potential-transformer signals land at PTBA.
  • Current Source: The line-current transformer path also reaches TCEB through JV.
  • Level Reduction: The board steps the PT and CT signals down before transfer.
  • Destination: TCCB receives the conditioned measurements for embedded functions.

Detector Supply and Return

  • Signal Return: Flame-detection feedback enters through JU and proceeds to the TCEA boards.
  • Supply Input: JWX, JWY and JWZ receive the 335 VDC source from the three TCEA boards.
  • Conditioning: The high-voltage detector supply is conditioned on the expander board.
  • Field Output: JVA delivers the conditioned 335 VDC path to PTBA and the UV flame detectors.

Fixed Board Setup

  • Hardware Jumpers: No hardware jumpers are assigned to the TCEB board.
  • Software Setup: The board has no software configuration.
  • Horn Selection: The alarm-horn jumper is located on PTBA rather than TCEB.
  • Unused Ports: JPU, JPV and JPW are normally not used.
Description
General Electric DS200TCEBG1B is the TCEB protective termination expander board installed in location two of the SPEEDTRONIC Mark V P1 core. It forms an intermediate protective-signal layer between the PTBA terminal board, the three TCEA boards and TCCB in the R5 core.

Potential- and current-transformer signals enter General Electric DS200TCEBG1B from PTBA through JV. The board steps those signals down and sends them through JMP to TCCB, where generator voltage, bus voltage and line current are used by the control functions.

Emergency-overspeed pickup and flame-detection signals pass through General Electric DS200TCEBG1B from JU to JKX, JKY and JKZ for the X, Y and Z TCEA boards. The 335 VDC flame-detector supply travels in the opposite direction through JWX, JWY and JWZ, is conditioned on TCEB and leaves for PTBA through JVA.

General Electric DS200TCEBG1B has no board-mounted configuration jumpers and requires no software setup. The alarm-horn jumper is located on PTBA rather than TCEB, which keeps field selection outside this expander board.

Technical notes
General Electric DS200TCEBG1B is the P1-core TCEB board for PT/CT scaling, protective-signal transfer and conditioned flame-detector power.

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Why would General Electric DS200TCEBG1B show correct overspeed wiring but no signal at one TCEA board?
Trace the affected General Electric DS200TCEBG1B branch from JU to the matching JKX, JKY or JKZ connector; each TCEA processor has a separate output path.
Which path should be checked when generator-voltage values are missing through General Electric DS200TCEBG1B?
For General Electric DS200TCEBG1B, verify the PTBA-to-JV connection, the board's scaling path and the JMP cable leading to TCCB.
Does General Electric DS200TCEBG1B require jumper duplication during replacement?
No board-mounted jumpers are specified for General Electric DS200TCEBG1B; confirm the external PTBA alarm-horn jumper instead of inventing a TCEB setting.
How can a flame-detector supply problem be isolated around General Electric DS200TCEBG1B?
Check the 335 VDC routes into General Electric DS200TCEBG1B at JWX, JWY and JWZ, then verify the conditioned output at JVA toward PTBA.
What should be matched before fitting General Electric DS200TCEBG1B into a Mark V panel?
Confirm the TCEB designation, P1 location two, PTBA cable set and TCEA/TCCB destinations for General Electric DS200TCEBG1B against the unit drawing.
Why should JPU, JPV and JPW not be used for normal General Electric DS200TCEBG1B signal tracing?
Those connectors are normally unused on General Electric DS200TCEBG1B; troubleshooting should follow JU, JV, JMP, JVA and the JWX/Y/Z or JKX/Y/Z groups.
