Features:
- Interfaces a six-pulse firing source with three discrete bridge SCRs.
- Encodes DC-link shunt feedback on a frequency signal for control processing.
- Returns dynamic-braking and converter-temperature conditions when fitted.
SCNV consolidates the low-level bridge signals that cross between Innovation Series control electronics and a standalone power converter.
Its feedback circuits represent measured converter conditions separately from the gate-pulse transformers that deliver firing commands.
Because setup components are absent, board selection depends on matching the bridge current class and the non-paralleled SCR topology.
The General Electric IS200SCNVG1A SCR-Diode Converter Interface Board may be available for purchase and support from Apter Power.

Six-Pulse Firing Interface
- Device count: One board drives three bridge SCR devices.
- Size boundary: Supported discrete SCRs are no larger than 66 mm.
- Pulse coupling: Gate commands cross the power boundary through transformers.
- Topology limit: The interface does not serve paralleled SCR arrangements.
Measured Bridge Signals
- DC-link sensing: A shunt input represents converter bus voltage.
- Frequency encoding: The VCO sends the measurement across a 0-2 MHz range.
- Phase information: Connector paths return bridge phase conditions to control.
- Current channels: Converter-current feedback remains separate from gate outputs.
Optional Brake Interface
- Gate command: An onboard path can drive the braking IGBT.
- Desaturation return: The interface reports an IGBT desaturation condition.
- Supply supervision: Undervoltage feedback identifies a gate-driver supply problem.
- Thermal state: A thermostat circuit carries converter-temperature status.
External Signal Boundaries
- Backplane: P1 provides the 128-pin connection to control electronics.
- Cable interfaces: Six plug connectors route bridge and braking signals.
- Test access: TP1-TP4 are reserved for engineering measurements.
- User controls: No LEDs, fuses, jumpers, or adjustable points are provided.
