More Information

Overview Manuals Servo Conditioning Pulse Inputs Network Termination Feedback Routes

Features:

  • Scales additional analog signals received from Mark V I/O-core terminal boards.
  • Applies LVDT/LVDR excitation and conditions servo-valve current commands.
  • Terminates the protective and digital IONET chain at the applicable control core.
DS200TCQCG1B occupies the TCQC expander position in the R1, R2 and R3 analog I/O cores.

Its connectors divide servo traffic, pulse-rate inputs, power monitoring and generator feedback into distinct routes toward TCQA and STCA.

Hardware jumpers select servo-output current range, feedback scaling, proximity-supply limits and selected magnetic-pickup gain.

Because GE no longer manufactures Mark V, Apter Power may still assist with DS200TCQCG1B sourcing.

Regulator Output Control

  • Current Range: The first sixteen jumpers select servo-output current and feedback scaling.
  • Extended Range: Jumpers 25 through 36 add scaling choices for servos one through four.
  • Clamp Relay: An emergency command can apply positive current to the servo valve.
  • Suicide Relay: A control command can drive the signal to ground so the valve moves toward bias.

Speed and Flow Routes

  • TBQB Source: JH receives magnetic-speed, TTL pulse and compressor-stall signals.
  • QTBA Source: JGG accepts additional magnetic-pickup and megawatt-transducer inputs.
  • TCQE Source: JJ receives high-pressure shaft speed signals originating at PTBA.
  • Fuel Flow Gain: JP38 and JP39 set pickup gain for selected liquid-fuel-flow applications.

IONET Chain Endpoints

  • R1 Chain: TCQC in R1 terminates the Q11 and P1 IONET path.
  • Optional R2 Chain: A fitted Q21 chain terminates on the R2 TCQC board.
  • JX Link: This connector receives the daisy-chained TCEA and TCDA network signals.
  • STCA Transfer: 8PL forwards the IONET traffic directly to STCA.

Generator and Current Paths

  • Sync Signals: Generator and line feedback is conditioned for the STCA synchronization check.
  • Stall Input: One milliamp channel normally carries compressor-stall detection from TBQB.
  • Power Input: The second milliamp path normally carries the megawatt-transducer signal from QTBA.
  • Board Exchange: JE links TCQC with TCQA for power monitoring, servo outputs and generator/line signals.
Description
General Electric DS200TCQCG1B is the TCQC analog I/O expander board used in the R1, R2 and R3 cores of the SPEEDTRONIC Mark V architecture. It conditions additional analog channels and exchanges those signals with TCQA, STCA and the associated terminal boards.

Servo commands arriving from TCQA are scaled by jumper selections on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B before JFF or JGG carries them to QTBA. The same board contains the servo-clamp and suicide relays, while its LVDT/LVDR excitation path supplies 3.2 kHz at 7 Vrms through JFF.

General Electric DS200TCQCG1B processes magnetic-pickup and TTL pulse-rate inputs from TBQB and QTBA. High-pressure shaft signals can also arrive from TCQE through JJ, with the conditioned information forwarded through the TCQA/STCA path for control use.

Generator and line feedback pass through General Electric DS200TCQCG1B for scaling before STCA uses the signals in the synchronization check. Two milliamp inputs cover the compressor-stall and megawatt-transducer paths through JH and JGG respectively.

In the R1 core, General Electric DS200TCQCG1B terminates the IONET chain that links Q11 and P1 to STCA through JX and 8PL. The optional Q21 chain terminates on TCQC in R2, so the installed core determines which network termination belongs on the board.

Technical notes

FAQS

The following is a list of questions commonly asked by our customers. Please contact us if you have a question about our process that is not answered below.
Why can a servo valve move toward bias after work on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
Verify the General Electric DS200TCQCG1B suicide-relay command and the jumper-selected output range; an energized suicide path grounds the signal around the servo.
Which connection should be traced when the compressor-stall input is missing on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
The normal stall-detection route enters General Electric DS200TCQCG1B from TBQB through JH, separate from the megawatt path on JGG.
How should an IONET loss involving Q11 and P1 be checked around General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
Inspect the JX daisy chain and the R1 termination on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B, then verify transfer to STCA through 8PL.
What must agree before changing servo-current jumpers on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
Match the General Electric DS200TCQCG1B output-current and feedback-scaling jumpers to the installed servo coil and unit configuration instead of copying an unrelated core.
Why can a synchronization check fail even when PT wiring is intact on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
Generator and line feedback crosses General Electric DS200TCQCG1B on its way to STCA, so verify JE, 19PL and the board's conditioning path.
Where does General Electric DS200TCQCG1B obtain high-pressure shaft speed data from the protective core?
TCQE receives the PTBA-originated speed signal and passes it through JJ to General Electric DS200TCQCG1B before the TCQA/STCA processing route.
What should be confirmed if LVDT excitation is absent from General Electric DS200TCQCG1B?
Check the 3.2 kHz, 7 Vrms excitation path on General Electric DS200TCQCG1B and its JFF connection to QTBA before disturbing feedback wiring.
