Features:
- Interfaces the Universal AC power source with the 3500 rack power system
- Converts a wide range of AC input voltages for use by other 3500 modules
- Supports single-supply or redundant two-supply rack configurations
The Bently Nevada 3500/15 106M1079-01 operates as the Universal AC Power Supply Module in a 3500 rack. With the compatible Universal AC Power Input Module, it accepts 85 to 264 Vac rms in non-hazardous areas at 47 to 63 Hz and converts the input to voltages required by other 3500 modules.
The 3500/15 is a half-height module installed in a designated power-supply slot on the left side of the rack. A rack can contain one or two power supplies, and either supply can power a full rack. The installed configuration determines whether the system uses a single supply or redundant power.
With two power supplies installed, the lower module acts as the primary supply and the upper module serves as the backup. Removing or inserting either supply does not disrupt rack operation while the second supply remains installed and operating.
Installation Note: The Universal AC Power Supply and Universal AC Power Input Module are not compatible with legacy High Voltage AC or Low Voltage AC units. Confirm the installed PIM and input source before replacement.
