Features:
- Four independently configurable Modbus Serial ports
- PROFINET Class A device with 1,440-byte I/O areas
- Remote diagnostics and optional SD-card backup
Multiple Modbus segments can share one PROFINET controller connection through the four serial ports of the PLX31-PND-MBS4. This configuration reduces the number of stand-alone gateways required for divided serial networks.
Every serial channel is configured separately for Master or Slave service and RTU or ASCII framing. PROFINET Class A device operation and a 10,000-register exchange database support coordinated data movement between the controller and field devices.
Port-by-port planning should cover electrical interface, baud rate, addressing, command polling, and cable topology. Remote diagnostics and SD-card configuration storage are useful when identical gateways must be commissioned or replaced.
Apter Power supplies quotation and configuration support for the ProSoft PLX31-PND-MBS4 PROFINET Device to Modbus Serial Four-Port Gateway.
